IT staffing  ·  United States & Canada

Stop applying. Stop reading resumes. Start interviewing.

We work with both sides of a hire. We do the job hunting for candidates. We also interview, record and check every person a company meets. So when you finally talk, it's the talk that counts.

Both sides of the same pipeline

02  ·  For companies

Hiring? You'll meet people
we've already interviewed.

Tell us the job. Within 48 hours you get a short list. Everyone on it has already had a recorded interview with us. Your first call is about deciding, not filtering.

01

Tell us the job

Job title, location, budget, and the skills you need. The 48-hour clock starts the moment you send it. You can watch it run in your account.

02

We interview, you listen

We interview each person by phone and record it. You get the recording with their profile. Hear them before you give up an hour.

03

We can run round one

If you want, one of our engineers runs the first technical interview. They score it, write it up and send you the recording. You start at round two.

04

Checked before they start

We check who they are, their right to work, their education, their past jobs, their references and their criminal record. They sign to allow it. You get the results before their first day.

48 hours

That's from sending us the job to seeing your first people. The interview recording comes with them. We don't just promise it.

✓A recorded interview with every person
✓A recorded technical round, if you want one
✓Background check results before their first day
✓Your own account: short list, interviews and offers in one place
✓The US and Canada, kept separate
We only share recordings and checks if the candidate signs to allow it  ·  A licensed screening company runs the checks

03  ·  For companies  /  What you get

Every person comes
with six things.

Not just a resume and a phone number. You get everything your hiring manager needs to decide if this person is worth an hour. We put it together before you see them.

01

The interview, recorded

A real conversation with one of our recruiters, not a summary of one. You hear people explain their own work in their own words, before you book any time.

02

A skills score

When we've run a technical round, you get a score for each skill you asked for. Our engineer also writes a short note: what this person is good at, what to ask about next, and whether we'd send them to a client again.

03

A background check

We check who they are, their right to work, their education, their past jobs, their references and their criminal record. They sign to allow it. You get the results before their first day.

04

A resume you can actually read

We put every resume in the same layout, so your team compares like with like. Contact details stay hidden until you ask for an interview.

05

When they can start

Notice period, earliest start date, and whether they can legally work there. We ask each person directly. We don't guess it from a resume.

06

Pay already agreed

We talk about money before you do. If someone wants more than you pay, you never see them. You don't lose a week finding out when you make the offer.

04  ·  For companies  /  What we take off your desk

We do the whole hire,
not the easy half.

Most agencies stop at "here are three resumes." Below is everything that moves off your desk and onto ours, and the short list of what stays yours.

We do this
  • Finding peopleJob boards, our own people, referrals, and reaching out directly. We search against your job, not a list of keywords.
  • Reading resumesA person reads every one. We check what people claim against their work history. No software scores them.
  • The interview30 to 45 minutes with a recruiter, recorded. We cover their experience, right to work, notice period and pay.
  • First technical roundIf you want it. An engineer who does the same job runs it, scores the skills you named, records it and writes it up.
  • Booking interviewsWe match your team's diary to theirs, and handle every change of date. You pick a time. We do the chasing.
  • Getting them readyBefore each round we tell them about your company, who they'll meet and what to expect. Nobody wastes the first ten minutes.
  • Passing on feedbackWe ask you what you thought after each round and tell them. People stay interested instead of going quiet.
  • Making the offerWe put the number to them and deal with any counter-offer from their current employer. If they're going to say no, we tell you early.
  • Background checksSix checks, which they sign to allow. You get the results before their first day.
  • The paperworkContracts, right-to-work papers and start dates. We chase them until everything is signed.
  • Pay and invoicesOn contract jobs we employ the person. Their timesheets, tax and insurance are our problem. You get one invoice.
  • After they startWe stay in touch through the first few weeks. If something is going wrong, you hear about it while it can still be fixed.
You keep this
  • The decisionWe never tell you who to hire. We bring you the evidence. Your team makes the call.
  • Your own interviewsAs many as you want, run however you want. Ours replaces the first sift, not the rest of your process.
  • The standardTell us someone was wrong and why, and the next group will be different. We'd rather change what we look for twice than send you piles of people.
What we don't do. We don't run personality tests. We can't promise anyone will accept your offer. And we never send someone's details to a company unless they have agreed to that exact job.

05  ·  For companies  /  Ways we can work together

Four ways to hire.
The same checks behind all of them.

Pick the one that fits how you're hiring. The work we do before anyone reaches you is the same either way.

01

Contract hire

We employ  ·  you direct

We employ the person. We handle their contract, timesheets, tax, insurance and monthly billing. You get the work done and one invoice. This suits a fixed piece of work, or extra hands without adding to your headcount.

Best whenYou need someone for a set piece of work, or you want extra hands without creating a permanent job.
02

Permanent hire

Direct hire  ·  onto your payroll

We find them, interview them, test their skills and check their background. Then they join you as your own employee. You still run your own interviews after ours. We stay involved through the offer, the paperwork and the first few weeks.

Best whenThe job is permanent and you want the person on your team, not on ours.
03

Try first, hire later

Try first  ·  convert later

They start on a contract with us. Once you're both happy, they move onto your payroll. We agree the terms of that move at the start, so nobody has to argue about it later.

Best whenThe job is new, or you want to see how someone works before making it permanent.
04

We interview, you decide

Your pipeline  ·  our interviewers

You already have applicants. What you don't have is time. We run the interviews and the first technical round using your rules, record it all, score it, and hand back a ranked short list. We're not placing anyone. We're doing the reading.

Best whenYou have too many applicants, not too few. One open job, 200 people, and nobody free to call them.

06  ·  For companies  /  What we mean by screened

Every agency says
“screened”. Here's ours.

So here is exactly what ours covers, and what you get from it. Compare it with whoever you use now.

The first interview

30 – 45 minutes  ·  recorded  ·  every candidate
  • 01What they really did on each project. What they built, what was theirs, and what the rest of the team did.
  • 02How deep they go on the two or three skills you named. We talk it through. It isn't a quiz.
  • 03Whether they can legally work there, and whether they'd need you to sponsor them. We ask straight out.
  • 04Notice period and genuine earliest start date.
  • 05The pay they want, and whether that shifts for the right job.
  • 06Where else they're interviewing and how far along they are, so you know how much time you have.
  • 07How well they explain technical work to someone who wasn't there.

You get the recording and a short written summary. If someone fails this stage, you never see them.

The technical interview

45 – 60 minutes  ·  recorded  ·  only if you want it
  • 01Run by an engineer or senior analyst who does the same kind of work, not by a recruiter reading questions off a sheet.
  • 02Built around the skills you said you must have, so it tests your job and not a generic one.
  • 03Real work. They walk through a genuine problem, read code, explain a choice they made and defend it.
  • 04Scored on three to five named skills, each out of five. Everyone is marked on the same scale.
  • 05A written note from the interviewer: what they're good at, the one thing to dig into next, and a clear yes or no.
  • 06Your team can send us questions to ask, and can watch the recording before deciding on round two.

You get the recording, the scores and the note. You start at round two instead of round one.

07  ·  For companies  /  Background checks

Checked before they
walk through your door.

A licensed screening company runs the checks. Each person signs to allow it, and you get the results before their first day. You see a clear yes or no for each check. The documents behind it stay with us.

✓Identity

We check their photo ID against the name on every application and document in their file.

✓Right to work

We confirm they can legally work in the country the job is in. We also confirm whether they would need sponsoring, and by when.

✓Education

We confirm the degree, subject and year with the school or university itself. Not a photocopy of a certificate.

✓Employment history

We contact every employer on the resume to confirm the dates, the job title and why they left. If dates are missing or overlap, we tell you. We don't tidy it up.

✓Professional references

We speak to two people who actually managed them. You get what those people said, not one line saying the references were fine.

✓Criminal record

We check as far as the job and the local law allow. If something shows up that needs explaining, they get to explain it before it reaches you.

We only run checks after someone signs for that exact job  ·  Results go to one company, for one hiring decision  ·  We keep reports under our data policy and delete them on time

08  ·  For companies  /  What it costs you

Nothing until you hire.

There's no deposit, no subscription, and no charge to see people. The interviews, the recordings, the technical rounds and the background checks are all free. That work is how we earn the hire. It never shows up on your bill.

While you're deciding
$0

Sending us a job, looking at profiles, asking to meet someone, the interview and its recording, the first technical round, and the background checks. All of that happens before you commit to anything, and none of it costs you a penny.

If you hire nobody, you owe nothing.
Contract
We run the payroll

We employ the person. You get one hourly rate that covers everything, billed for the hours worked. Our cut is inside that rate, so there's no extra fee. Timesheets, tax and insurance are ours to sort out.

One bill a month. Nobody added to your headcount.
Full-time
A percentage of
first-year salary

We bill once, after the person starts. You pay nothing when you make the offer, or when they accept, or if they never turn up. The fee follows someone starting work, not signing a piece of paper.

We agree the rate in writing before we start.

Send us one job.
See what comes back in 48 hours.

You don't sign anything to get a first short list. If the people aren't right, tell us why and we'll change what we look for. Or walk away, having lost two days.

United States & Canada, run separately  ·  Contract, full-time and contract-to-hire  ·  Solnity Services Limited

09  ·  The problem

The job search is a full-time job.
You already have one.

Most people don't lose out because they can't do the work. They lose out on numbers and timing. Too few applications, sent too late, with a resume that never quite matched the advert.

On your own

  • One generic resume sent to every posting
  • A handful of applications a week, after work
  • Postings found days after they went live
  • No follow-up when nobody replies
  • Interview prep the night before, alone
  • No idea why a rejection happened

With Solnity

  • A resume rewritten for every single job
  • Applications going out every working day
  • Jobs found the day they go up
  • A recruiter chasing every application
  • Practice interviews for that exact job
  • Direct feedback from the hiring side

10  ·  How it works

Four stages. You're only needed in two.

01

You sign up and we build your profile

We spend 30 minutes on the phone. We go through your experience, your right to work, the jobs you want, where you'll work and what you want to earn. That becomes one profile we use for every application.

You: 30 minutes, once
02

We apply for you, every day

We watch job boards and company websites for new openings. We match them to your profile, rewrite your resume for each one, and apply in your name. If anything needs your say-so, we ask first.

You: nothing
03

We chase and get you ready

Our recruiters follow up on every application and take the first calls. Before each interview, they tell you three things: what the company does, who you'll meet, and the questions they actually ask.

You: interviews only
04

You interview. We get the offer.

You just talk to them. We book the times, argue about the money, and stay with you through the paperwork and your first few weeks.

You: show up and be good

11  ·  What we do for you

Everything between you and the offer.

Resumes

A new resume each time

Not one resume for everything. A new version for each advert, so it gets past the software that reads them.

Volume

We apply every day

We apply every working day, so your search doesn't stop the week you get busy.

Timing

We spot jobs early

We spot jobs the day they go up. Being in the first group of applicants helps more than anything written on your resume.

Follow-up

We keep chasing

We chase every application. No reply is just part of the process, not the end of it.

Preparation

Ready for every interview

Practice interviews, who you'll be meeting, and what that company actually asks.

Visibility

Your own account

Sign in any time to see where every application has got to. No wondering what we're up to.

12  ·  Jobs we fill

IT roles across the US and Canada.

We keep the two countries separate. People in the US go into US jobs, people in Canada go into Canadian jobs. Contract, contract-to-hire and permanent. If your job title isn't below, still ask. This is where we work most, not the whole list.

13  ·  Is this for you?

We'd rather tell you now than waste your month.

We only take people we think we can actually place. If that isn't you, we'll say so on the first call. We won't sign you up and then go quiet.

This works if you

  • Have real IT experience you can show
  • Already live in the US or Canada, with the right to work there
  • Are ready to interview in the next few weeks
  • Will take our advice and feedback seriously
  • Can move, or know exactly where you'll work

This won't work if you

  • Want us to invent experience you don't have
  • Want to move country. We place within the US or within Canada, not between them
  • Can't be reached when an interview comes up
  • Are only half-interested in moving
  • Want a promise of one exact company or salary

14  ·  After you send the form

What happens after you send the form.

Within 2 working days

We read it properly

A recruiter reads your resume and replies either way. That includes telling you if we're not the right fit.

That week

A 30-minute call

We go through your experience, your right to work, the jobs you want and your pay. We give you an honest view of how long it may take.

Days 2–4

We build your profile

We build your profile and the different resume versions each job will need.

From day 5

Applications go out

We start applying, and your account opens so you can watch every one.

90days

We aim to place you within 90 days.

That target shapes everything we do, and it's how we judge ourselves. It is not a promise. Your experience, where you live, your right to work and the state of the job market all change that number. On our first call we'll tell you honestly how long we think it will take for you. We'd rather do that than repeat a figure we can't stand behind.

15  ·  People we've placed

People who started where you are.

17  ·  Questions

Questions people ask us.

Two sets. The ones hiring teams ask us, and the ones job hunters ask us.

If you're hiring

Do we have to sign anything to see people?

No. Send us one job and we'll come back with a short list. We agree terms before anyone starts work, not before you're allowed to look. If the people aren't right, you've lost two days and nothing else.

Is 48 hours real, or just a marketing number?

It's the time we work to from the moment you send the job, and you can watch the clock in your account. What arrives in 48 hours is your first few people, not always the whole short list. An unusual skill in a small city takes longer than a QA Analyst in a big one. We'll tell you which yours is on the first call, rather than let the clock quietly run out.

What do you mean by “screened”?

A recorded call of 30 to 45 minutes with one of our recruiters. We cover what they really did on each project, how deep they go on the skills you named, whether they can legally work there, their notice period and the pay they want. You get the recording itself, not a summary. If you want, we also run a first technical round with an engineer who does the same job, scored and recorded. Anyone who fails never reaches you.

Can we hear someone before we spend time interviewing them?

Yes. That's what the recordings are for. Every profile in your account has the interview, and the technical round if we ran one. People sign to allow us to share them. Recordings can't be downloaded, and we log who listens.

Why can't we see names and contact details right away?

Until you ask for an interview, people are shown by a reference number. That protects their personal details before they've agreed to meet you, and it keeps the process running through us. As soon as you book an interview, the full profile opens.

Who employs the person, you or us?

It depends which way you hire. On a contract, we employ them. We handle the contract, timesheets, tax, insurance and billing, and you get one invoice. On a full-time hire they join you as your own employee. Try first, hire later starts with us and moves to you on terms we agree at the start.

What if the hire doesn't work out?

We agree in writing before we start what happens: how long you're covered for, and whether you get a free replacement or your money back. Ask on the first call and we'll put it in the agreement rather than leave it until later.

What if the people you send are wrong?

Tell us why and the next group will be different. We'd rather change what we look for twice than send you piles of people and make you read them all. That was the job you were trying to hand over.

Do you publish our job anywhere?

Not with your name on it unless you want that. We can describe the job without naming the company, which is usually what you need when you're quietly replacing someone.

What does it cost?

Nothing until you hire. Sending us a job, looking at profiles, the interview and its recording, the technical round and the background checks are all free. On a contract hire we employ the person and you pay one hourly rate that covers everything, with our cut inside it. On a full-time hire we bill a percentage of their first-year salary, once, after they start. We agree the rate in writing before we begin.

Do you work in both the US and Canada?

Yes, but we keep them separate. We only place people who already have the right to work in the country the job is in. We don't move people between countries or arrange visas.

If you're looking for a job

What does it cost?

We go through costs on the first call, before anything is agreed and before we start work. Sending the form costs you nothing.

Can you place me in the other country?

No. We keep the two countries separate. People in the US go into US jobs, and people in Canada go into Canadian jobs. We don't move people between countries or arrange visas, so if that's what you need, we're not the right fit.

Will you apply without telling me?

No. You see every job in your account, and we skip anything you don't want. Your name never goes anywhere you haven't agreed to.

How long does it take?

We aim to place you within 90 days of signing up. That target shapes the whole process. It's a goal, not a promise. Your experience, which country you're in, your right to work and the job market all change it. On the first call we'll tell you honestly what we think, instead of repeating 90 days at someone it doesn't fit.

Can you help if I need a visa?

Sometimes. It cuts down the jobs open to you by a lot. We'll tell you plainly on the first call whether we think we can help, rather than signing you up and hoping.

What kind of jobs do you fill?

IT jobs: development, data, QA, business analysis, cloud and support. Contract and permanent.
